Last night the ‘Best of Minneapolis’ screening was a success. Walter the Wolverine opened the show with a great response from the audience. It was so much fun to see again on the big screen and surrounded by a full row of family and friends, and then some.
After the show, the awards were announced. Above-the-Line Entertainment and Walter the Wolverine were nominated in 4 categories and took home one win.
Nominations:
Best Use of Prop
Best Cinematography – Tim McCusker
Best Actor – Mike Rylander
Best Picture
Win!:
Best Use of Character
We are so honored and proud of the nominations, and of course the win of Best Use of Kathleen or Kevin Schnabel, Expert [go Expert Mascot!], but probably coolest of them all was being nominated for Best Picture. Out of the 91 films submitted in Minneapolis, we were amongst 4 [!!!] nominated for Best Picture…unbelievably cool!!!
I know you’ve read this about a hundred times in my most recent posts, but I have to say it again. THANK YOU so much to our entire team. It was such a blast and a pleasure to work with all of you, and together we created something you should all be really proud of. You all did a fabulous job!!!
We do have to give a shout-out to the winner of Best Picture for Minneapolis: The Grave Review by Rascallion Media Group and Token Media. Their film is phenomenal and the win is completely deserved.
Cheers to the Walter the Wolverine and the 2009 48 Hour Film Project - already looking forward to next year!
Walter the Wolverine, coming to a Post near you soon!
